Cycle paths

Take a bike ride, sure, but where?

On the 40 km of cycle paths now available in Bayonne.

A special route is taking shape in the city of Bayonne, allowing you to cycle with complete peace of mind!

Check out the cycling map of Bayonne: https://bit.ly/3rcIJYm

To go further afield, head for the beaches, where a real change of scenery, from the banks of the Adour to the edge of the beaches, awaits you.

Head along the port of Bayonne, located in Anglet, and at the La Barre roundabout, take the "Piste des Plages d'Anglet" route, which runs along the ocean, between the Adour and the Chambre d’Amour.

When the fine weather arrives, you can also board the  Txalupa, the hybrid boat which provides the connection on the Adour between Boucau/Tarnos, central Bayonne and the beaches of Anglet.

A few minutes on the water, where you can take your bike with you, before reaching the beaches of the Basque Country or those of the Southern Landes - it's so tempting!

A few practical figures for using this river shuttle:

- Daily connections from 9.00am to 7.30pm.
- Two stops along the way on the right bank of the river, the first at the Grenet bridge, the second at the Boucau slipway.
- A service every 30 minutes

For travel times, allow:

- 3 minutes from Marie de Bayonne to the Grenet bridge
- 11 minutes from the Grenet bridge to the Boucau slipway
- 7 minutes from the Boucau slipway to Brise-Lame d'Anglet

For the more athletic, you can continue your ride on the “Vélodyssée” track (Atlantic coast cycle route) which connects the entire Atlantic coast, from the Basque Country to Brittany.
